Contributors: The basics

Are you interested in becoming a Contributor to build your brand as a teacher and education content creator while getting the opportunity to earn revenue? Keep reading to understand how the OneClass website works and the main differences between students and Contributors.

Everybody who creates a OneClass account becomes a User and is allowed to post questions but also to answer questions and upload documents in a variety of academic subjects. The questions will be answered by other users who decided to be Contributors by actively answering such questions.

Being a Contributor does not exclude you from also asking questions, you can get help and help others!

  • User - Individual who has a OneClass account. Creating a OneClass is free.
  • Student - User who only asks questions and access studying material. A subscription is required to unlock answers, notes and study guides.
  • Contributor - User who actively answers questions. Answering questions do not require any subscription and it is completely free.

How to become a Contributor

First of all, you need to follow the steps in the Join the student community article to create your account and complete your profile. Put special effort in building your profile: upload your photo, change your name and add a brief bio. We have found out that a nice profile page makes students feel your content is more reliable because they understand who you are.

The next thing to do is select your subjects and answer questions! Go to the dashboard where you will see the top three most common actions:


Clicking on ANSWER QUESTIONS will redirect you to the list of available questions in the subjects you are following. You can see your subjects at the left panel and selecting one of these will apply a filter to the list.

📝 NOTE: To follow a subject go to ANSWER QUESTIONS and click on the FOLLOW SUBJECTS button located at the bottom left of the page.


Get tagged

Contributors who are tagged on questions are more likely to get earn revenue since the students tend to follow these contributors.

When you answer a question, try to incentivize the students to tag you the next time they post. This will bring more traffic to your profile and you will appear at the top of the contributors' searches:
